My Italian father and his partner are coming for dinner tommorrow. I have all courses organised except the meat. Should I do chicken in parma mozarella/ham or plain fillet steak, or any ideas??? Nothing with creamy
sauce. Please help.

Filllet steak is always good, but tricky to time right if it`s a dinner. What are your other courses, comac? Do you have a starter?
Your chicken in parma sounds delish, but do something that you know how to cook well, and then you can relax too.

It`s yer dad, just enjoy yourself and give them a few nice drinkypoos and all will go well.....

I meant to add that you question would prob have been answered a lot quicker in the Can Anyone Help section.

Maybe too late now, but try it and see who comes up with an answer. Are you new to the site, if so, a very big welcome.

I wouldn't do chicken in Parma ham for an Italian father in law. A good T-bone steak might be an idea especially if you let him cook it himself. Or how about ragù - a long drawn out thing to prepare but a sure success - or a simpler braised beef 'alla pizzaiola' - good braising meat cooked in tomato with lots of shaved garlic and oregano.

Sorry the same for your Italian dad!
