If you were me, would you audition for the above panto?
bearing in mind I had a part in the last panto and because there were too many PRIMA DONNAS I left halfway through rehearsals.
xx
Would have done when I was younger. The ugly sister would have been tailor made for me!
Hi Nanny!!
I would say go for it. Would you go for an Ugly Sister or are they being true to the original fairy tale and having a wicked stepmother? That's a great part - you get all the boo's and hisses but usually with a nicer costume. Unfortunately prima donnas are part of the wonderful package that is live theatre but I know it can really spoil what should be a fab experience. You obviously love it so give it a shot - you can always vent about the others' egos on here and we'll help you xxx P.S. Does this mean we can start talking about Christmas now??? Pretty please???
Not sure about that Annie lol!
Nanny, froma fellow thesp, go for it! In all am-dram you alway get those cleaky (sp) sort but it is worth it when you're performing and enjoying it all!
I'm in Oliver in October, and though I'm only in the chorus, too many wanna-be Nancys (I think there were 20 in total!) I know that I will enjoy it and get to play lots of different parts with different costumes!
() :O)
Angel

Sigh. Okay Angel, but I'm not sure I can hold in the excitement of all that planning for much longer...
I love being in the chorus - you get the best of both worlds. It's usually the principles that have extra rehearsals whereas we can get to the pub to discuss, erm, motivation? xx
Get on in there! Rise above the prima donna - they never win in the end - fairy tell endings all round! : -)
