Hi, my Christmas cake recipe is for a 9 inch round and I halve the quantities if I want a 6 inch round; that is what my recipe says. I make both sizes. The cooking time always seems to be quite variable though. One year I made several cakes and thought it was best to make and cook one cake at a time, which is what I did, as I only have a domestic oven.
If you are thinking about making smaller, mini, cakes there have been some posts on that subject recently.
