.....but then again one might argue it wasn't Michael's Club Sandwich at all - I grilled my own bacon, cooked my own chicken breasts, just put all the fillings between two slices of bread as I didn't have toothpicks, didn't have any cornichons left so used the bigger gherkins. But boy did it taste good! I do love a good sandwich - with decent bread and REAL butter!
Sorry - this should have been on the How To Cheat page. I am new to all this. Never thought I'd ever join a community website but it's quite addictive isn't it?
That IS on the How To cheat page!!! - I am completely barmy!!!!!!!!
sandwiches are very boring......
That's not a sweeping statement much is it? :-)
ha ha ha!! Yeah! I guess it is!!!!
I should never be allowed internet access after a glass of wine!
Apologies! Welcome to the forum by the way, we are a good bunch.

Yes welcome TDS we have a lot of fun on here!! Viv xx
You're very sweet. Thank you. It does feel a bit odd. Why am I not just emailing my friends?
Because....you are making new friends!! Viv xx
Or maybe I have been feeling so poo lately I have decided not to get in touch with anybody until I can be upbeat and positive instead of a miserable cow!
Aw sorry to hear that TDS, keep tuned in here and you'll soon find your spirits revived. Thinking of you. Viv xx
Thanks Vis. God I so wish I lived in France - at least for some of the time. I adore France so much. I remember once many years ago being dropped off at the hypermarket by my ex father -in-law when we were on holiday. It was 10 o'clock in the morning and he asked what time I wanted picking up. He couldn't believe his ears when I said 4 o'clock! I love nothing better than mooching around the supermarket, on my own and then all those exciting shops in the little mall. Last year I was in France on a cooking job and my client said we could call in at the hypermarket on the way home. I was so excited all week at the thought of bringing home all those lovely things. When we got there she said meet you back at the car in 20 minutes! I was so gutted I didn't even bother going in! By the time I had been to the loo it just wasn't worth it. I would have spent 10 minutes in the checkout queue alone! I secretly sulked all the way home.
After fifteen months here, I am not tired of wandering around the supermarkets gawping at new stuff. Even our little locla supermarket has interesting stuff and loads of fresh fruit and veg. I love living here, the seasonality and great local produce not to say my own as well. My BIL who lives in Holland told me they have a saying there that say's if God wanted a house he would live in France! I love it. Hope you feel better soon. Viv xx
I am treading water at the minute waiting to hear about a job and it's driving me nuts. It would mean at the age of 45 finally doing something that I really love. I feel like my life is on hold. Aagghhhhhh!!!!!
Well, do let us know if you get it. It's horrible waiting isn't it. I will keep my sun bronzed fingers and toes crossed for you LOL Viv xx
ooh yes good luck TDS - how exciting
It would be great to start a discussion with the good news one day soon.
Not so bronzed fingers and toes crossed for you, from me, too. Viv seems to have so much better weather than we have here :0(
We love hearing about exciting new jobs and projects, too. BIggs
Trouble is Biggs, they go off on these new jobs and we hardly see them again :-( Saffy, Busy Bee, Cupcake, it's like watching your babies fly the nest! But best of luck DS, and I hope you get your job :-)))
Bramble xxx
Yes but this is a food-related job! I think I am going to explode if I don't hear soon.
Bramble - BOO!!!!
I'm still about, just not as often. I do miss you all - especially after the horrible couple of weeks I've had.... would much rather be here playing.
