pil pil of course
I suggest marinating the prawns in a bit of dry sherry, garlic and chilli beforehand and be liberal with the garlic.
That's a good idea, elbokeron. Felt the dish needs a zip. Will try that.xx
Good tip Elbokeron, that is what I would do too. Viv xx
I don't know what recipe it is u r using but I had Prawns Pil Pil in Spain yonks ago and it is WONDERFUL and so easy, if somewhat expensive over here cos of price of fresh prawns.
I bought the little terracotta carzuela dishes in Spanish supermarket.
Put good splosh of olive oil in each dish, together with peeled clove garlic and a hot chilli pepper. Put in very hot oven until sizzling. Then add big fresh uncooked prawns and put back in oven a few mins. until prawns have turned pink and are cooked. This is from memory so not sure of amounts. Serve with good crusty bread to mop up the juices, and lots of chilled white wine.
