Got a "0" one soon . People keep asking me want I would like . I dislike saying ,feel as if I am asking which I am not . Do others make a list? I would rather a surprise . Susan xx

I sometimes give hints to my husband. Sometimes he picks them up, sometimes not... the results are interesting!

do people still do birthdays and christmas lists?????

I hope you send thank you notes too!

if i get any presents its usually something i have mentioned or commented on ages and ages before.

but my family we don;t do pressies for birthdays after the age of 18.

never had a birthday pressie or card from OH and in last 10 years me and OH haven't brought christmas pressies and cards either.

but then i think we are tight old meanies and defintely in the minority.

What do you want for your birthday? ... well, either one really cheap thing but personal (wildflowers, home-made cookies, breakfast in bed) or one thing you need (pretty ribbon, packet of saffron, face cream) or give it the works - tanzanite NOT diamonds, an orchid NOT 24 red roses, scented candle NOT chanel no 5, or look for a rich husband :-)))

Susan - I've had this problem for Mum and MIl recently when I hosted their seventieth birthday parties. People WANT to give a present and I had real problems with ideas. In the end I suggested vouchers for M&S or the garden centre; that way they could choose what they wanted and the giver was happy to have the task of present buying dealt with.

"peace and quiet" with a pretty pink bow on top - but my kids assure me that I don't have any chance of that!!

I'd rather have a surprise - and the pressie that Susan sent me was deff a surprise, seeing as it's nearly 2 weeks early!!!!!!!!!

This may be a bit too late.
Had you thought about Capital Bond Vouchers, they can be used in various stores- food, jewelery, electrical, clothing and also for holidays, leisure etc... check on the website.
Have a good Birthday whenever it is.

Start an Amazon wishlist that people can pick things off? I'm addicted to CDs which are on there, but of course there are books and also kitchen equipment, jewellery and all sorts. I've also got a musicroom.com wishlist but I don't know if other people can browse that (they sell sheet music).
