... there are a couple of peppers on two of my plants, but the newer younger leaves have all got loads of tiny holes in them, they look quite pretty like lace, I am loath to use a pesticide spray on them, because of pollenation.
what would you do?

Hello Nanny, not sure if this would work, a friend of mine wipe the leaves on some of her plants with a solution of water and vinegar.
Hi Nanny Ogg. Only came on to say hello and how are you?

SG will try that, thanks
DS I'm fine, thanks

Hi Nanny nice to see you back! Congrats on the peppers!
I wash the plants in a sinkful of warm washing-up water, holding them upside down by the stem with a plastic bag over the pot to keep the compost in and the water out, they do get little whitefly and stuff and this works well.

Hi, bramble, my 3 plants are over 4 feet tall and extremely
bushy, when it gets too windy outside I struggle to lift them up to bring indoors, so I dont think I could contemplate washing them as you do. How have you managed to keep them small, and light enough, to be able to handle them in that way?
xx
Excellent plants Nanny, I just cut the tops of branches off when they get a bit leggy, but I can see you'll have trouble keeping these after the first frost. Even my 3-year-old is only a couple of feet high! All part of the learning curve my love, but I think you'd better buy a small greenhouse rather quickly :-O
You're too good at this !
