They will grow bigger than plums given time. But don't expect them to be quite as good as Mr Tesco grows. I have found that mine tend to be just slightly concaved.

honey is right, they will very rarely be as big as supermarkets/grocers, but will grow more "round" unless blocked by a stem/branch and will be about the size of its hard to say, as i have some that are the size of a tennis ball and others that are just a bit smaller, I am leaving mine on (well some) to go red, others i just cut off when a decent size before they rot, slice them open freeze then pop into a freezer bag.

Oh, mine are much longer and thinner than the "bell" ones you get in the shops. They are just like the ones we ate in Greece this summer.

I have got another variety growing too, which are very similar to "romano's" they are delicious and much nicer than "bell"/sweet peppers.

will double check on the name, i think its marconi.

I've one pot of peppers the size of plums, Nanny, don't know why, I suppose they're just different varieties. I left them alone thinking I'd got chillies till OH ate one, so half of them are red now, and they taste nicer than the bigger ones :-)
