40 years ago this very week ,
Tel , & I became man & wife,
The years sure have gone by so fast,
But we are still in each others lives.
There's been days when I've wanted to kill him ,
And others when he's filled me with pride,
Days when I wanted him out of my sight ,
Yet others, I needed him by my side.
He soon realised that I'm always right ,
It's the same with me day in , & day out,
He is quiet , a very deep thinker,
His motto , A whisper conveys more than a shout.!!
I like very much the sound of my voice,
Can talk from morning till night ,
I'm sure poor old Tel can still hear my voice,
Even when I am long out of sight.
He has stood by my side , solid as a rock ,
Have to say he is a real treasure,
He has dried my tears , & stood by my side,
The few times life gave me short measure.
Together we will stay for the rest of our lives,
Walking into the sunset hand in hand,
As I look back , & reflect on time passed ,
The last 40 years have been grand!!

Congratulations to you both - loved the sentiments expressed - you could be describing me and OH as well as you and Tel - although we haven't reached 40 years yet.
