Anyone know where I can buy individual pie tins (cheapish!). I've got individual loose bottomed quiche tins but need something for steak and kidney pies for hubby to take to work. Ones that give a good serving - husband has big mouth, sorry, appetite!
I use yorkshire pudding tins, they are ideal for individual
pies.I do meat and potato, but they would be ok for steak and kidney too.I got the idea from Nigella.

I know just the ones you mean. I have two sets of four. One is oblong enamel with rounded corners about 7" x 5" x 2" (perfect bloke size) which I bought in an Asian supermarket along with some larger ones very cheaply about 15yrs ago. The other is oval non-stick about 5" x 3" x 11/2" I found in a small village kitchen shop years ago, (just right for smaller appetites)
A few of my friends have lusted after them, but even after looking on the internet no-one can find them. I've promised to leave them to my best chum in my will!
I found these oval ones on ebay, they're cheap & a decent size but they're don't have a lip.

Try Lakeland - they have all sorts of dishes, including foil ones he could take to work.

Like Merrie I think, I was thinking of the throwaway ones but perhaps they could be re-used.
ebay is always excellent for finding cooking equipment imo.
Thanks everyone. I'm lusting after JoyH's pie tins too - they sound perfect! I'll try all your suggestions. Keep you posted. Paulene
Try your local market, they have some incredible bargains if you look for them.
