i have made a rich fruit cake 12" and discovered after putting it in the oven i have used self raising flour instead of plain what difference will this make to thecake apart from rising?

with reference to the above, I am no cake expert but wouldn't think it would make any difference being a fruit cake...

I agree with Dolly (and welcome to the site, too). I don't think you will notice any difference whatsoever. I am sure it will be delicious!
