have had to relent and put the heating on!!!
I have had to do 2 loads of washing today, washing basket could take no more....but uh oh...drying the stuff!!!! its been so wet windy and wild today, and my house is starting to smell lovely (fabric softener) but damp...so had a blast of the good old central heating!!!!!
Home smells even more homely this evening now, and towels are drying rather stiffly but beautifully, i do like a stiff towel!!!
love a very sad sap southern softie sammy
I've actually got the bathroom radiator on (rest are off) but I did have the fire blasting out for an hour yesterday, I was freezing. I'm in the North (30 miles South of the Scottish border) so Sam, you're not a Southern Softie!
I relented and put one radiator on as well, I am in the far north of Scotland, and I think we are getting the best of the weather, so no, you are not a soft sassenach, lol.
It was a lovely day ...walked the dog right along the beach and back, but it's so grey and windy now.....i have lit the fire for the first time....it's just a small wood burner but it is cosy now.
Much the same reason as you Sam (3rd load today) so have lit the fire and have the clothes horse in front of it. Lovely and homely. S is working tonight and for once I'm glad of the rain - the summer holidays have been dire for work for him, but when it's chucking it down on a Friday night out people want a taxi :o)

Haven't put the heating on - but is the third day we've lit the fire in the living room - had forgotten how nice it is - I love the sounds and smells of a real fire! - but yes - I was cold before it x
Sam,
I can think of a few ways to warm you up on these damp evenings!?
1) Put an extra jumper on (cuts down on fuel bills)
2) Have a hot meal a bit later in the evening.
3) Hovis....cup of before bed.
4) Sex , It works in all weathers regardles of the climate.
5 Count sheep if it gets realy bad :-)
Hope this helps,
Rob XX
Wusses.
I'll take number 4 then Mr Cod if you are offering.
A cup of Hovis... no thanks Rob!
I'm a softie southerner, and we live in the Midlands. We've had the heating on for the last couple of days. Have got the fleece pullover on as well. M.
